Responsibilities:
Daniel Smith is a committee member and Chair of the Fundraising sub-committee. He is married to a Ukrainian, has a Ukrainian business partner and has been traveling to Ukraine for work and family reasons for over a decade. He initially contacted Dnipro Kids after reading about the charity during the invasion of 2022 and supported by raising money through his business, AstroAgency, whilst his family offered support to the children who arrived in Edinburgh.
Daniel is well-known in Scotland’s space industry, having helped establish five space companies. He was recently appointed as the Scottish Government’s first ever Trade & Investment Envoy for Space. In his free time he likes to be around his family and friends, watch football and attend Biffy Clyro concerts!
