It’s been just over a month since our last update, and a lot has happened since then. Not all of it has been fun and excursions, but still very important.Settling in to Edinburgh has not been without its challenges, but thankfully we have an amazing team working around the children, and the house mothers, to ensure that they not only settle in to their accommodation but also integrate into society. Most of the children are now in school, and committee member Mags McPherson has been working closely with the head teachers to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible .....

Last week in Dnipro parents received a letter from the schools, telling them to ensure that all children should have a card in their school bags that...

Dnipro Kids Update – June 2020

Apologies that it has taken so long for us to put out another update, but the Worldwide Coronavirus pandemic has also affected the work we do in Ukraine. We did have a Spring Trip fully planned for April, but unfortunately this had to be cancelled as Ukraine also entered a ‘lockdown’ stage. The majority of the following update is from Natalie, our assistant in Ukraine, with some editing from committee member Duncan McRae. Coronavirus in Ukraine On Wednesday March 11, the Dnipro Kids returned home after a busy day at school, completed their homework and began getting ready for...
